House cleaning is never an exciting idea. Tackling the chores in a dirty and messy house is very difficult work for any one. When we ignore cleaning the house just for a day, it might end up with so much of clutter that needs to be cleaned that sometimes we find it easier to drop the idea of cleaning and lie down on the couch watching TV.

But, unfortunately, ignoring house hold chores will not make the mess go away. Let us see how the 30 minutes of time spent effectively for house cleaning will lead us to less messy house.

1. Planner: Make a daily, weekly, monthly planner for housekeeping. Break down the task into small steps that can be done within minutes each day will keep the mess under control. Also divide the chores among the family members depending on their age. Teach kids to keep their area clean and less cluttered.

2. Bedroom: The bedroom is the most important one of any house as we start the day from our bedroom. Making bed should be on the priority list. Pull the bed sheets, fold the blankets and place the pillows neatly to make the bed clean. Put the laundry clothes straight to the laundry basket. Ensure no eatables are brought inside the bedroom. Dusting,sweeping and mopping everyday ensure no much cleaning of the room.

3. Kitchen: Kitchen is a place that requires the most cleaning. Every time we use the kitchen, cleaning comes along with the activity. Wash the untidy dishes immediately instead of piling them up in the sink. Every time the kitchen counter is used, grab a towel and wipe the surface with the disinfectant. Ensure to keep the dining table and kitchen table clutter free by putting everything back to its place after use. Clean the any spillage on the stove, counter or floor immediately so that it does not get dried up and become difficult to be cleaned later. Wash the kitchen towels regularly to keep them clean.

4. Living room: First impression is the best impression for any guest who comes to spend time with us in the living room. So keeping the living room clean is very important. Ensure that we are not bringing any unnecessary things into the living room. Ensure to remove the any clutter on the coffee table, side table or on the sofa. Clean the floor regularly. Dust the shelves and TV counter regularly. Regular dusting and cleaning will take few minutes of time everyday instead of cleaning the accumulated dust for hours if not cleaned.

5. Bathroom: End the cleaning in the bathroom and take a shower to freshen up. Do a quick wash and wipe the wash basin with the disinfectant. Ensure to keep the wash basin surface clutter free. Pour a cup of bleach into the bowl and brush the side and under the rim. Let it sit for minutes before flushing it off. Wipe the shower and taps for any soap stains. Finally dust the bath mat and rug if you have any on floor and clean the floor.
